As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE considered several opponents for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, including Steve Austin, Gunther, Bobby Lashley, and Bray Wyatt, before deciding on Lesnar taking on Omos.

The Lesnar vs. Wyatt match was nixed because of Lesnar for unknown reasons.

On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that the report about Lesnar nixing the match with Wyatt is accurate. Dave Meltzer reported that once WWE went away from doing Lesnar vs. Wyatt, the company had to make a change to the finish for Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber.

Lesnar was supposed to win, but that was changed to Lashley winning via DQ instead. Lesnar’s win would’ve led to Lesnar vs. Wyatt at WrestleMania 39.

It was said there was another change to another planned Lesnar match, but there’s no word yet on who that opponent was, meaning WWE made two changes to Lesnar’s WrestleMania 39 match just in the last few weeks.
