Backstage Update On Brock Lesnar’s Return To WWE

UPDATE: As we reported earlier today here on eWn, WWE is interested in bringing Brock Lesnar back as soon as possible. In an update on this, it’s been a “poorly kept secret” that WWE clearly wants him back. With that being said, sources close to Lesnar do not believe that there’s been any real contact or movement. Of course, feelers have been sent out but nothing has been signed or agreed upon at this point.

As we’ve previously reported here on eWn, Lesnar is his own man and does what he wants, when he wants. Multiple sources have indicated that Brock is a very private person who keeps to himself and when he’s ready to return, he will. He’s also known as a person who is a hard bargain negotiator and demands large amounts of money, hence why it takes time to work out any sort of deal.

ORIGINAL: WWE and Brock Lesnar are reportedly in talks for the five-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s return to the company. This is according to a recent report from Fightful which states:

“WWE sources have indicated that Brock Lesnar and WWE have been in recent talks about a return to the company. WWE was said to have plans in order for Brock Lesnar, and hopes that he could return imminently if they have their way. As with anything, until it appears on screen, it’s hardly ever a sure thing.”

This is hardly the first report indicating Lesnar could return to WWE in the near future however, it’s one that certainly adds a huge amount of weight to the idea he could be on his way back to the company. As of right now, Lesnar has been absent from WWE TV for over a year, not making an appearance since WrestleMania 36.

With current rumours indicating WWE want to turn SummerSlam 2021 into a WrestleMania calibre event, Lesnar is just the next name on the list of potential huge returns for the company. As the Universal Champion Roman Reigns is currently rumoured to be pencilled in for a match against John Cena at the event, could we see Lesnar chase after WWE Champion Bobby Lashley instead? Lashley commented on the possibility of this match back in February
