It was reported earlier that WWE NXT 2.0 star Zoey Stark had suffered an injury after her NXT Women’s Championship match on Heatwave.
In a video posted today, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels confirmed Stark’s injury and said her tag partner Nikkita Lyons is “medically unavailable.” As a result, both NXT stars will be replaced tonight by Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolan and Jacy Jayne, and the two will compete in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament match on SmackDown.
According to Pwinsider, Lyons isn’t actually injured, and the decision to pull Lyons from tonight’s match on SmackDown was made yesterday.
