On Monday night’s episode of RAW, we got a better understanding of Bayley’s mindset as to why she did what she did at SummerSlam this past weekend. Bayley was interviewed backstage on RAW along with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai.
Bayley said the women’s division has been on a downward spiral since she left. She suffered a torn ACL last year while training and has been out ever since. At the time, Bayley was feuding with Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Bayley said WWE needed their role model back, so she gave it to them. She also brought along two talents who were long overdue for their moment, referring to IYO SKY and Dakota Kai.
“They’re not talking about Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch [after Saturday night]. They’re talking about Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and me,” Bayley said.
She continued, “Have you not been watching the same show I’ve been watching? These idiots have been on a downward spiral since I left. They [WWE] needed their Role Model. So I outsourced two of the best in the world, who have waited far too long for this moment.”
