Longtime WWE announcer Josh Matthews was released from WWE today. He has been moved to the alumni section of WWE.com. There is no word yet on why he was released.
Matthews hosted the pre and post shows for WWE’s pay-per-view events and has been with the company since 2001 when he competed in the original Tough Enough on MTV. We’ll provide an update when we get more information.
Renee Young will be replacing Matthews on the WWE Kickoff show this Sunday before Money In The Bank.
