ESPN aired excerpts of Triple H’s interview with Stephen A. Smith on First Take this morning with the entire interview airing later today on ESPN+. Last September, “The Game” underwent surgery after having a cardiac event.
Triple H said he had viral pneumonia. His lungs were inflamed and things got worse over time so when he coughed up blood, he went to go get checked out.
Hunter said he suffered heart failure in the emergency room and his ejection fracture went down to 12. He got emotional when talking about if “this is it.”
Regarding his in-ring future, he said that he will never wrestle again because he has a defibrillator in his chest. Smith said that Triple H is still “50% of himself” at this time.
