Former two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez has confirmed he is set to make his return to wrestling in December of this year.
Speaking on a recent appearance on the In This Corner with Cyrus Fees podcast, Velasquez confirmed he will be making his return to AAA. When asked about his future plans in the wrestling industry, Velasquez had this to say:
“I’m doing a show in December for AAA. I love AAA and I’m going to keep doing that right now. I love WWE as well, but I have to develop myself in order for me to go out there. I’m going to keep doing stuff and have fun with it.”
Velasquez made his wrestling debut in AAA. He wrestled two matches for the company in 2019, winning both matches. He would then head to WWE, where he was defeated in a match against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2019. He would wrestle one more match for the company, tagging with Humberto Carrillo at a house show in Mexico City. He would then be released by the company in April of 2020 due to budget cuts.
