AEW’s Chris Jericho has supported Ric Flair after a recent promo raised questions about Flair’s role in the promotion.
During the taping for tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage, Flair cut a promo in which he invited all women aged 18-28 to join him in his hotel room without their boyfriends and husbands.
Many have taken issue with the line given Flair’s history of alleged sexual harassment, including allegedly forcing women to touch his genitals on the ‘Plane Ride from Hell.’
On social media, Flair didn’t reference the Rampage line but said he’s tired of the negativity and has “earned the right to do whatever I want.”
In a response to Flair’s post on Instagram, Jericho gave his support for Ric, agreeing that Flair should do what he wants.
Flair made his AEW debut last month as Tony Khan’s gift to Sting. Plans for a debut in 2021 were nixed due to Dark Side of the Ring’s coverage of the Plane Ride from Hell.
