CM Punk joked about his time in AEW while doing commentary for Cage Fury Fighting Championship on Friday night.
During the broadcast, Punk spoke about the “lore” behind one of the fights when his broadcast colleague John Morgan said, “Amazing. You see what happens when you let CM Punk book a show?”
Punk replied, “You get an entertaining show!”
When Morgan asked if anyone ever considered giving Punk his own show where he was in control of the creative direction, Punk jokingly replied,
“No, nobody’s ever thought about that…Where am I? Tunica [Mississippi]. All right.”
Of course, AEW built Collision around Punk following his return from suspension this past June.
