According to Lucha Blog, Ares El Guerrero, born José Francisco González López, passed away at the age of 50 on Friday.
The site reports that Ares began his wrestling career in 1988 at the age of 18. He worked with some smaller promotions in Mexico before he joined CMLL in 1998.
The Puebla lucha libre commission and the Arena Puebla facebook page have announced Ares el Guerrero (José Francisco González López) has passed away at the age of 50.
