Cody Rhodes has clarified his conflicted status when working for AEW, saying he was a heel in the promotion.
Rhodes, one of the founding members of AEW, often received mixed to negative responses from audiences.
Taking to Twitter, Rhodes said he was a heel when working for AEW, despite asserting at the time that he was a good guy.

The American Nightmare left AEW in February this year and returned to WWE as a babyface at WrestleMania.
Rhodes is currently out with a torn pectoral injury, but is expected to be back within the next few months.
