Corey Graves referred to “hush money” being paid to witnesses during this week’s RAW, in a possible nod to former WWE CEO Vince McMahon.
During RAW, Dexter Lumis threw money to the crowd which he had originally been paid by The Miz to stage attacks on the former WWE Champion.
The Miz’s attempts to recoup the money were thwarted by Johnny Gargano, who also threw money to kids in the audience.
On commentary, Graves said that Gargano was giving “hush money” to witnesses, and fans online immediately saw this as a nod to Vince McMahon.

McMahon retired from all roles with WWE in July following reports that he had paid millions of dollars to female employees to keep quiet about his extramarital affairs.
In his place, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have been appointed co-CEOs of WWE, with Stephanie operating as Chairwoman.
