Dakota Kai recently spoke with Wrestlezone to discuss a wide range of topics including a WWE Hall of Famer she wants to wrestle. You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On working with Trish Stratus and Lita in recent weeks: “I feel like for us, like I said, we used to watch Trish and Lita. They had amazing rivalries and stuff. But this run, it seems like they haven’t skipped a beat. I think that’s what I’ve got my eye on right now. Yes, we looked up to them, but like you said, we don’t have to be friends with them to respect them. They’ve done so much in this industry and, yeah, I think that’s what it’d be.”
On wanting to wrestle Beth Phoenix: “I was thinking about this before. I know that Beth [Phoenix] is currently back and she’s doing stuff right here and there, but like, if you had asked me the same question a couple of years ago when she wasn’t, I would have picked her. Because I’ve always thought Beth is someone that was ahead of her [time]. She was a trailblazer for that moment. She’s a name that I always thought would be cool to mix it up with the current generation. So, I know she’s already back. I don’t know if that kind of like cheats, but I’d say Beth.”
