Mercedes Moné was feeling “all of the emotions” ahead of her debut for NJPW at last week’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view event.
At the show, Moné made her first appearance at a wrestling event since walking out of the May 16, 2022 episode of WWE RAW, and attacked KAIRI.
Speaking on the FTR podcast, Dax Harwood, who also appeared at Wrestle Kingdom 17, spoke about her debut. He said,
“She was proud, nervous, excited, scared, all of the emotions, you know? She hit this finishing move and nobody knows what that was. Nobody knows how it felt.”
Harwood also commended his friend for her journey to NJPW, stating she did things her way. He added,
“How proud she was in that moment and how nervous she was walking down the aisle, like, everyone can relate to that and I know that she was so proud of herself because she did it her way. She stood up for what she believed in.”
Moné will challenge KAIRI for the IWGP Women’s Championship at NJPW Battle in the Valley on February 18.
