According to a report from Deadline, Saturday night’s episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC drew a 4.8 Live+same day rating in the metered market households and a 2.3 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. As many of you know by now, WWE Superstar John Cena hosted this week’s broadcast.
Deadline notes that the numbers were the best ratings for Saturday Night Live since the first post-Presidential election episode which aired on November 12. That show was hosted by comedian Dave Chappelle (6.2, 3.9). The rating was also higher than last week’s episode, which was hosted by actress Emma Stone (4.4, 2.1) and a corresponding episode from the same time last year (3.8, 1.8).
