During Sunday night’s WrestleMania: Backlash pay-per-view event, we saw Edge defeat “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles by submission after an assist from a “hooded figure”, who appeared at ringside and shoved AJ Styles off the top rope. From there, Edge applied a crossface to Styles, forcing him to pass out.
After the match, the hooded figure was unveiled to be Rhea Ripley.
The match itself was debatably not as good as their previous encounter at WrestleMania 38, but the finish and the aftermath with Rhea Ripley joining Judgement Day was a welcome surprise.
