AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2024 nearly saw the AEW World Tag Team Championships change hands, as Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher had the champions on the ropes for a good amount of the match.
However, Don Callis brought back one of his go-to tricks, handing a screwdriver to Kyle Fletcher with the hopes that he would use it to put The Young Bucks down for good. Ospreay intercepted it, taking it out of Fletcher’s hands and chastising both Fletcher and Callis for trying to cheat.
This led to a sequence where Matthew and Nicholas Jackson took advantage of the distraction, blasting both Ospreay and Fletcher in the skulls with the title belts. Eventually, The Young Bucks would be able to score a pinfall, and it was reiterated by the commentary team that if it wasn’t for Callis getting involved, the momentum was on the side of the challengers.
Not like this, Kyle!

This is not the first time Ospreay’s refusal of going along with Callis and his cheating philosophy has led to a defeat, but it is the first time Fletcher has fallen victim to this situation.
