Some of may recall an article Eddie Kingston penned for the Players Tribune back in November where he opened up on his struggles with mental health issues.
During a recent appearance on the “Under the Ring” podcast, Kingston talked about all of the positive feedback he got from the piece. He said,
“Everybody was real positive about it. For me, I don’t like that kind of attention. In the ring I like attention when I’m in there fighting, but outside the ring I don’t really like attention. But getting the attention from that, knowing that people that I talk to are now open and talking more about their mental health to their significant others or family, that means a lot to me. I do these meet and greets and autograph signings for AEW and I have little kids or their moms & dads or anybody coming up to me and telling me that piece helped them or that they’re going through it, I tell them to just keep fighting. This is normal to me, mental health is a normal thing to me. That’s what I tell people.“
