Elijah is ready to take the wrestling world by storm now that he is outside of WWE, and he has shared the reasoning behind his new ring name.
In September of 2023, Elias was released from WWE. Earlier this month, Elias revealed his new name in a video promo that leaned into biblical themes.
Speaking on a Virtual Gimmick Table with Highspots Superstore, Elijah shared the reasoning behind his new name. He said,
“I love all the biblical names, if you can’t tell by now. Elias, Ezekiel, Elijah, you got the Heavy Metal Jesus from my past life, so yeah, that’s where Elijah comes from.”
Elijah has been announced for World Series Wrestling’s upcoming ‘Most Wanted’ tour. Fellow WWE alum Nic Nemeth has also been announced.
