According to a report from PWInsider, former WCW wrestler Mark “Van Hammer” Hildreth recently pled guilty to one count of Driving Under the Influence, Causing Property Damage and Injury. This stems from an incident where he hit a five-year-old boy on a bicycle in Boynton Beach, Florida.
The plea deal was made in Palm Beach County Court and will allow Van Hammer to serve one year of probation, have his driver’s license suspended for a year, and have an interlock device on his vehicle for a year. Hildreth was only sentenced on one DUI charge under the plea deal.
Hildreth will also have to attend a victim’s impact session to see how DUIs have affected those who have been victims in similar circumstances. The victims of the hit-and-run are “not seeking restitution” against him.
