The final Dynamite of the TNT era is already shaping up to be a big show.
During the AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash 2021 special event on Wednesday night, three big matches and a special return was announced for next week’s program.
In what will be the final Dynamite show to air on TNT before the show moves to its’ new home on TBS on January 5, 2022, the December 29, 2021 edition of Dynamite next Wednesday night will feature the second-annual “New Year’s Smash” theme.
On tap for the 12/29 show emanating from Daily’s Place amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida is a big AEW Trios bout, with Eddie Kingston teaming up with Santana & Ortiz to take on Team 2point0 and Daniel Garcia.
Also announced is another AEW Trios match, with Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and the newcomer to the scene in AEW — Kyle O’Reilly — joining forces to square off against the team of Orange Cassidy & The Best Friends.
Additionally, the highly-anticipated return of legendary pro wrestling announcer Jim Ross was confirmed, as “Good Ole’ J.R.” returns from his hiatus due to skin cancer treatments to take his spot at the commentary desk for the final Dynamite of the TNT era.
