Former WWE Wrestler Mike “Rocky Jones” Masters Passes Away

Former WWE wrestler Mike Masters has died aged 68.

According to Pwinsider, Masters (aka Michael “Rocky Jones” Masters) was admitted to the hospital after he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

Masters worked across several territories during his career, and would later found the East Coast Pro Wrestling promotion with Gino Caruso.

His biggest match came when he challenged Ken Patera for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in October 1979.

Masters also worked as a trainer and was the trainer of Little Guido, known to WWE fans as Nunzio.

We at eWn would like to offer our condolences to Masters’ family at this sad time.
