Impact Wrestling star Frankie Kazarian has opened up about feeling underappreciated during his time with AEW.
Kazarian, one of the first names to sign with AEW, was one-half of the very first AEW World Tag Team Champions, winning the titles with Scorpio Sky in October 2019.
While speaking with Eric Bischoff on a recent AdFreeShows Q&A show, Kazarian addressed leaving AEW in late 2022. He said,
“I wanted to give that time to somebody that would value it. I felt at the time in AEW, my time, my contributions, and my talent was not being valued and that’s okay because I had the opportunity to take my time and give it to somebody else and that’s exactly what I did.
“I’m not a guy that’s wired to sit on the bench, you know? I’m a guy that should be in the starting lineup. It’s not being egotistical to say that because it’s true and I proved that.”
Kazarian is now part of the Impact Wrestling roster and will face KON at tomorrow’s No Surrender 2023 pay-per-view event.
