WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has said he will re-sign with WWE after Elimination Chamber should he become Universal Champion.
Goldberg’s current contract has just one match left, which will take place tomorrow night in Saudi Arabia against Roman Reigns.
Speaking on After the Bell, Goldberg said he’ll re-sign, but only if WWE’s higher-ups book him to dethrone the Tribal Chief:
“I would not ride off into the sunset if I was victorious by any stretch of the imagination, because the champion’s responsibility is to be there on television and represent it to the nth degree. If I was victorious, I would not run out of here, I would not hold anybody up, I would not do anything like that because of what the business has given me.”
Reigns is the favorite to retain the Universal Championship as WWE reportedly has no shows booked featuring Goldberg after this Saturday.
Elimination Chamber will take place on Saturday, February 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will air on the WWE Network and Peacock.
