Former WWE Superstar Bob ‘Hardcore’ Holly allegedly stole a Rolex watch during his time with the company, Rene Dupree has claimed.
Holly signed with WWE in 1994 and remained part of the promotion until his release in 2009.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Cafe de Rene, Dupree said that the late-Lance Cade told him about the stolen timepiece.
“I was gone by this point. What I had heard was that a Rolex had got stolen and somebody’s visa or passport had gotten stolen.
“That’s why he [Holly] got sh*tcanned, right, because he was, during WrestleMania time and someone’s Rolex watch went missing.”
Dupree added that a message from Eddie ‘Umaga’ Fatu made it clear that neither the locker room nor WWE wanted Holly, who they believed to be the thief.
“Umaga, he took the guy’s bag, Sparky [Holly’s original WWF name was Thurman ‘Sparky’ Plugg] and then wrapped it up with a letter saying, ‘We don’t want you here’ or ‘Get the fu*k out of here.”
Holly and Dupree have history in WWE, as the French wrestler once got a speeding ticket in a car registered to the Hardcore one.
In response, Holly attacked Dupree for real backstage at a WWE event, with Booker T claiming that Dupree had been “assaulted” and didn’t fight back.
