As we reported earlier today here on eWn, Vince McMahon has not been involved with WWE in any way since his retirement back in July. The only involvement he currently has is the fact that he owns the majority of company stock.
For those wondering, Vince McMahon has not been spotted at WWE headquarters since his departure was announced. Additionally, he hasn’t been involved in any meetings or company communication. Multiple sources say McMahon hasn’t visited the gym in Titan Tower, which was a daily occurrence for him.
Just last week, McMahon was removed from the internal list of performers. He was also recently removed from the “corporate structure.”
Numerous sources are reporting that McMahon has not been running the show from behind-the-scenes. One of the reasons for this is because it would be illegal for a publicly traded company. If word ever leaked out that he was privately helping, he would more than likely face criminal charges. Even though McMahon has family members still working for the company, the corporate structure is set up in a way that creates “a lot of checks and balances.”
John Laurinaitis, who was terminated at some point within the last week, had his company email and cell phone disconnected several weeks ago. The same thing happened to WWE’s furloughed employees during the pandemic.
