UPDATE: We previously reported here on eWn that the OC’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson signed new five-year contracts “with a significant raise” in July. According to the Wrestling Observer, those deals are worth $700,000 per year each. The two men had previously rejected $500,000 a year offers and were rumored to be leaving WWE when their contracts were up.
As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, WWE has been opening up their pockets to offer well above their usual threshold to keep certain wrestling talents under contract.
ORIGINAL: Braun Strowman inked a new contract with WWE back in July. According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Strowman’s contract is believed to be worth $1.2 million per year, for four years. However, there are exceptions, with the top downside number WWE usually offers being $1 million.
The report noted that United States Champion AJ Styles signed for significantly more money due to AEW coming into the fold. There are also other talents who got above the $1 million threshold because they know how to negotiate and WWE knew they could go elsewhere and make money as well. Of course, WWE also believes they were worth it.
