During this week’s ‘Fight For The Fallen’ edition of AEW Dynamite held in Nashville, TN, a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match saw Jeff Jarrett defeat Jeff Hardy.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the portrayal of Leatherface in this match was undertaken by local independent wrestler Dean Alexander. Alexander’s association with AEW commenced in March 2021, where he participated in tapings for AEW Dark. Since his introduction, he has become a familiar face at AEW events.
Notably, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match was an initiative orchestrated by AEW in conjunction with the release of the video game bearing the same name. AEW’s efforts in this regard resulted in a commendable $100,000 in sponsorship proceeds. These funds were subsequently directed towards the Maui Food Banks, extending assistance to those affected by the Maui wildfires in Hawaii.
