Nixon Newell (formerly WWE’s Tegan Nox) is no longer listed for ATTACK!’s event next month, and a new report provides details about the situation.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Newell is no longer scheduled to perform at the UK shows on December 14 and 15.
Newell was released from WWE at the beginning of November, and Fightful Select is reporting that WWE and ATTACK! engaged in discussions regarding her booking to make it work.
ATTACK! expressed their respect for WWE throughout the negotiations, even though they were “gutted” that Newell wouldn’t be able to participate.
According to sources, various factors might have contributed to Newell’s removal from the ATTACK! event. The independent promotion is currently seeking a substitute for Newell, and company representatives have mentioned their desire to bring her into the fold later.
Several UK and European promoters are interested in booking Newell once she is available.
