EC3 has reached one year as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, putting the reigning champion in a club of some notable names in wrestling.
EC3’s reign began on August 27, 2023, in a match that not only saw him dethrone Tyrus, but also marked the end of Tyrus’ wrestling career.
By reaching one year as champion, EC3 joins names including Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Nick Aldis, and Dan Severn who all held the gold for one year in a single reign.
EC3 has had 16 title defenses so far as champion and has retained against the likes of Matt Cardona, Thom Latimer, and Sam Adonis.
His most recent title defense took place at NWA Exodus Pro Midwest Journey II on August 24, where he retained against Richard Holliday.
