WWE ID prospect Marcus Mathers is the new IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion after winning the title from Mads Krugger.
Mathers captured the gold with a 450 splash at Beyond Wrestling’s ‘Heavy Lies The Crown’ event, ending the 366-day reign of the now-former champion.
Mathers is one of several names associated with the WWE ID program, the promotion’s latest recruitment tactic that follows on from WWE Next-In-Line (WWE NIL).
WWE ID sees prospects granted access to WWE’s training facilities, as well as a fast track to potentially being signed as fully-fledged Superstars.
