FTW Champion Jack Perry has claimed he received heat backstage after calling Christian Cage a p***y during their fierce feud.
The feud between the two saw Cage reference Perry’s deceased father Luke Perry and would culminate in the ‘Final Burial’ match at AEW Revolution 2023.
While speaking on the latest edition of “Hey! (EW),” Perry recalled a fiery promo in which he called Cage “the biggest p**** I have ever met in my entire life.” He said,
“Literally that line exposed all the p***ies back here, because I got in so much trouble about that word. They’re emailing me saying, ‘Please don’t ever say that again.’ I made a shirt with that word on it [and they told me] ‘Never wear this again or else we’re going to do this and this.”
Perry will defend the FTW Championship against HOOK during the AEW All In 2023 “Zero Hour” kick-off show.
