Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is eager to see Cody Rhodes become a World Champion in WWE, and hopes to see the American Nightmare with gold for a long time to come.
At WrestleMania 39, Rhodes was unable to ‘finish the story’ in the main event and lost to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Speaking on his podcast, “The Snake Pit,” Roberts shared his hopes regarding Cody’s future with WWE. He said,
“I wish the best for him. I really do. I hope he goes all the way. I hope he becomes a champion and holds the title for a long period of time. It’s just a question of what the folks up there want.”
WWE has been introducing longer title reigns in recent years with Bianca Belair recently breaking the record for the longest reign as RAW Women’s Champion.
Intercontinental Champion Gunther is closing in on the Honky Tonk Man’s 454-day reign, while today is day 999 of Reigns’ tenure as WWE Universal Champion.
