Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory 2020 was full of surprises, as three championships changed hands, and Ken Shamrock was inducted in to the Hall of Fame by his old WWF rival Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Chael Sonnen and others appeared on the preshow to congratulate the “World’s Most Dangerous Man”.
They weren’t the only surprises though, as the Call Your Gauntlet had not announced several of its participants in advance. Three former Impact Wrestling stars made their returns in the match, including former World & Tag Team Champion James Storm, Daivari (AKA Sheik Abdul Bashir), and Swoggle (AKA Hornswoggle); but it is yet unknown whether they have signed contracts or if they were brought in with one-off deals. James Storm had not been seen in Impact since departing in 2018, and recently stated he was penciled in for a run in WWE earlier this year after Paul Heyman showed interest.
And while she has been featured regularly on Impact as alter ego “Susie”, the character of Su Yung returned to get revenge on Deonna Purrazzo on Kylie Rae’s behalf; essentially replacing her in the Knockouts Championship match and winning it. As reported earlier, the company announced they are bringing back the Knockouts Tag Team Championship after months of rumors.
