According to a report from Fightful Select, “Switchblade” Jay White’s New Japan Pro Wrestling contract is about to expire, and he is expected to leave the promotion. People in both companies reportedly believe AEW and WWE are interested in signing him. WWE sources appeared confident that they would sign him.
AEW or WWE cannot legally approach him until his contract with NJPW expires. Of course, there is always a chance that White and NJPW may work out a new contract.
On February 11, White will compete in a “loser leaves Japan” bout in Osaka, Japan, against Hikuleo. On the NJPW roster, there is a belief that White wants to be in the United States for now.
