On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole made a sensational return to All Elite Wrestling. After sustaining a head injury and suffering from a concussion following last year’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view event, Cole had been ruled out of action indefinitely. He seemingly returned as a babyface last week, cutting a passionate promo and announcing that he was back.
Adam Cole’s booking had been criticized prior to his injury, and many fans and experts seem to believe that his return from injury could serve as a second chance. One such person is Jim Cornette.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette was all praise for Cole and begged AEW to not waste a second chance with the former NXT Champion.
Here’s what Cornette had to say:
“If Adam [Cole]’s gonna be able to come back and he’s got this level of support right now and can talk like that as a babyface, again, I say certainly to god they can’t f*ck this up. But they f*cked up his first debut and it never recovered and then he got hurt. So maybe they’ve got a second chance at this. But this was everything it needed to be.”
