John Cena isn’t ruling out a third match with The Rock, but he needs to get some victories under his belt first.
Cena and The Rock faced off at WrestleMania 28 in a match announced a year in advance which saw the Brahma Bull win in his home state of Florida.
A year later, Cena would get his win back and dethrone The Rock to become WWE Champion at WrestleMania 29.
In a recent interview with “92NY,” Cena was asked about a rubber match with his old rival. He said,
“I’m so old. I haven’t won a match in like 5 years man. And no one notices, Thank you, but if you check the stats I’m in a bit of a slump. He’s not exactly an easy opponent. I need to get someone really easy to get a win on the board before I go knocking on The Rock’s door again.”
Cena is in the midst of a considerable victory drought at pay-per-view events, with his most recent PLE win coming at WWE Super Show-Down in October 2018.
