John Cena vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship is now confirmed for SummerSlam.
During this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, it was announced that John Cena (not Finn Balor) will be facing Roman Reigns at the big pay-per-view event, which takes place from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, VA.
While there was a contract signing between Finn Balor and Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin came out and attacked Balor. Corbin then took the contract and tried to sign it, but Cena came out and took it away and signed his name instead. Paul Heyman claimed that the contract wasn’t valid because Finn Balor’s name was on it, but Adam Pearce said he saw two signatures and that was good enough for him. WWE booking at its finest here folks.
