Former WWE star Kairi Sane made her return to in-ring competition when she teamed with Mayu Iwatani and they defeated Tam Nakano and Unagi Sayaka at the Stardom World Climax ‘The Best’ event on Saturday from Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.
Sane is now going by the ring name of KAIRI. She will work her first singles match in almost two years against Starlight Kid on Sunday.
She left Stardom for WWE in 2017 where she was a former NXT women’s Champion and a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She departed from WWE in 2019 and returned to Japan, but was still working for the company until last month as an ambassador.
