STARDOM wrestler KAIRI (Kairi Sane in WWE) has said she was both nervous and happy when teaming with Asuka during her time with WWE.
Asuka and KAIRI teamed from 2018 to 2020 as the Kabuki Warriors, and have the longest reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Speaking to Proresu TODAY, KAIRI said she was happy and worried at first when teaming with the established champion in WWE:
“I was happy from the bottom of my heart [teaming with Asuka]… I was very nervous at first, and she was a big senior and someone I admired. I was very nervous, but she was very kind and friendly, and said with a smile, ‘If you have any questions, just ask!’… People accepted our new style, or the fact that we broke new ground. We had a lot of fun doing it, and we laughed a lot backstage.”
Kairi Sane’s contract with WWE expired earlier this month nearly two years after she requested a move back to her native Japan.
This week, KAIRI announced that she has signed a new contract with STARDOM and will appear at the STARDOM World Climax Shows on March 26 and March 27.
