Karl Anderson will have the rare distinction to compete outside of WWE despite being a part of the company.
Anderson returned to WWE on this week’s RAW alongside Luke Gallows, aligning themselves with AJ Styles.
Despite the return, Anderson is still the NEVER Openweight Champion, and will face Hikuleo at NJPW’s Battle Autumn in Osaka event on November 5.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted:
“So he is going to come and drop the championship, so he is coming back.”
New Japan updated the card for Battle Autumn after Anderson’s return to WWE, confirming that the match with Hikuleo is still on.
