Wrestling legend Keiji Mutoh has announced that his in-ring career will come to an end next year.
During the CyberFight Festival event in Saitama, Japan, Mutoh made the announcement that he will have just five more matches before his career finishes in Spring 2023.
Mutoh is best known to fans as The Great Muta, and is one of four wrestlers to have held AJPW’s Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and Noah’s GHC Heavyweight Championship.
Mutoh is also a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and competed in WCW in the 1990s.
With his hard-hitting style, Mutoh is considered a pioneer of Japenese Puroresu wrestling and has influenced countless wrestlers worldwide.
