Keith Lee has rejected the notion that he was tweeting about WALTER’s name change to GUNTHER in his infamous ‘Poor WALTER’ tweet from last year.
Shortly before the Austrian’s name was changed, Lee tweeted that from what he was hearing, things would not go well for the man today known as GUNTHER.
Man….if what I'm hearing is real….

Since then, many have poked fun at the tweet given that GUNTHER has had an incredible run on WWE’s main roster while many have found Lee’s AEW tenure underwhelming.
Addressing his tweet recently, Lee found it odd that people believed he was tweeting about a name change, but did not mention what he was referring to in his 2022 tweet.
According to the ones who run this, I "still catch strays." Willful ignorance of people who created their own narrative of that tweet.
