AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega has said that the bar for being crowned 2022’s Wrestler of the Year is “shockingly low.”
Omega hasn’t wrestled since Full Gear 2021 when he lost the AEW World Championship to ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, and has since been recovering from several injuries.
Responding to a fan who believes Omega could win Wrestler of the Year, the Canadian wrestler said:
The bar is shockingly low in 2022. I could show up in December and still win via landslide.
