Kip Sabian tweeted earlier today hinting that he will be at AEW Dynamite tonight in Rochester, New York. His presence at the show would not be a surprise because he has been regularly in attendance on AEW television near ringside. Often finding his way into the background of many camera shots wearing a suit with a cardboard box on his head. The box with angry eye holes and the words “UNDER RATED” and “OVER IT” written sloppily make the state of his mood very clear.
The last time we saw Kip Sabian not sporting a cardboard box on his head on AEW television was the April 28, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite. This was the episode where he was viciously attacked by Miro backstage. He blamed Sabian for their loss against Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor in the Arcade Anarchy match on the March 31, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite. The attack was a major shock to many, especially after Miro was the best man at Kip Sabian’s wedding just a couple months prior.
In Sabian’s tweet today, there was no suit and tie. He was wearing his ring gear in the image but with the cardboard box still on his head. Sabian recently shed this cardboard box in the UK where he appeared in the ring at events for British Wrestling Revolution and World Association of Wrestling. It looks like Kip Sabian may finally be making his return to the AEW ring. Is he coming for Miro? Or has he moved on to another target? Or is it just a tease? We may find out tonight.
