During Wednesday’s edition of WWE NXT, LA Knight (Eli Drake in Impact Wrestling) came down to ringside and proceeded to cut a promo on various NXT Superstars, including Adam Cole, Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano. After bragging and hyping himself up as the next best thing in NXT, he was interrupted by Bronson Reed. Reed had a singles match with Cameron Grimes, but had a brief stare down with Knight prior to the match.
Reed would wind up losing to Grimes after Knight interfered, costing Reed the match. Later on Twitter, a fan asked Reed how he felt about Knight’s interference and he replied with, “homies dead”. The announcers teased on Twitter that Grimes may have paid Knight money to attack Reed, but that was never established in the storylines.
