Bobby Fish has reportedly been unhappy with his booking in AEW, amid reports that he is departing the promotion.
Yesterday, it was reported that Fish’s contract is expiring in the near future and he will be likely finished with the company when the time comes.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the low number of matches were a factor in the decision for Fish and AEW to part ways.
“He’s done. It’s confirmed, he’s done. Whatever the deal was, either he was not offered a renewal or he chose to not to be renewed. He had said things. He had complained on his podcast about not getting enough matches.”
Fish joined AEW in October 2021 and worked alongside Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly, but has made few appearances since his teammates have been injured.
There has been speculation that Fish will return to WWE now that Triple H, who he has praised in the past, is Head of Talent Relations.
