During Sunday night’s IMPACT x NJPW: Multiverse United 2 pay-per-view event, Lio Rush issued a challenge to Hiromu Takahashi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
The event saw Rush and Trey Miguel team up against Takahashi and Mike Bailey, with Rush pinning Takahashi for the win.
Following the match, Rush got on the mic and reminisced about the NJPW New Japan Cup Final before issuing the challenge. Takahashi promptly accepted.

Also during Sunday’s IMPACT x NJPW: Multiverse United 2 pay-per-view event, Giulia defeated Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Momo Kohgo to retain the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.
In a post-match backstage promo, Guilia revealed that she isn’t done wrestling in the United States just yet. She said,
“Wow, seems like the people of Philadelphia love them some Giulia! This place is great. Seriously, I’ve gotta say, I feel so good. I’m proud of myself. Getting here is a pretty big moment for my career. It’s a big deal. I’m proud of this, getting this experience. I’m not done in the US, and not done with this title either. Who’s next? Who’s next challenger? Anyone, any promotion, I’m down. But the STRONG champ only wants strong challengers.”
