Maki Itoh isn’t interested in a run in WWE, believing it would be disloyal to her friends and allies in All Elite Wrestling.
Itoh made an impression with fans when she competed in the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament in 2021, and later competed at AEW Revolution that same year.
Speaking to Steve Fall, Itoh was asked if she has ever received an offer from WWE.
Itoh added that she would not accept any offer from WWE, as she is loyal to AEW for the success they have given her. She said,
“No, nothing. The reason she became this popular is thanks to AEW. Whatever happens, even if WWE gives her a cheeky offer from nowhere, she would not accept it and she would stay right beside AEW all the way.”
Maki Itoh’s most recent match for AEW saw her and Emi Sakura lose to Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose on the November 23, 2022 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
