As seen during Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite broadcast, Matt Hardy appeared live and cut a promo addressing his injury at AEW All Out. He said he wanted to thank the fans in the arena and everyone watching at home. He said he knows it frightened a lot of people and said that he will make a full recovery. He thanked his family, his wife Reby Sky (she was shown in the audience), and apologized for putting them through that.
Hardy said he’ll make a 100% recovery and that he’s lucky. He said that he’s going to go back to getting healthy but will be back “when he’s cleared” and will be going after the AEW World Championship when he returns. So it looks like he’s taking some time off. As of this writing, there is no word on why he wouldn’t be cleared already if he didn’t suffer a concussion.
